Before you can define a Control-M for Databases job in Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required database.
A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified database, such as database server name, database type, schema, username, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for Databases users to connect to the required database with only the connection profile name. Users then can define or modify a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the database.
