Copying a database type

This procedure describes how to copy a database type, which enables you to duplicate the database created along with the related definitions.

To copy a database type:

1. From Control-M Configuration Manager, select Control-M for Databases on the host that you want to manage, and right-click Connection Profile Management.

   The Control-M for Database -Connection Profile Management dialog box appears.

2. In the upper right-hand corner, click .

   The Database Types Manager window appears.

3. Select the database you want to copy.
4. Click .

   The Add New Database Type window appears.

5. In the Database Name field, type a new name for the database.

   If you want to update the parameters for this database, see New database type parameters.

6. Click OK.

   A new copy of the database is created and appears in the list.
