Editing a database type

This procedure describes how to edit a database type, which enables you to update the parameters of the database type.

To edit a database type:

  1. From Control-M Configuration Manager, select Control-M for Databases on the host that you want to manage, and right-click Connection Profile Management.

    The Control-M for Database -Connection Profile Management dialog box appears.

  2. In the upper right-hand corner, click CM_DB_DATABASE_TYPE_MANAGER.

    The Database Types Manager window appears.

  3. Select the database you want to edit.

    You can only edit the new databases you added, you cannot edit an Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase and PostgreSQL database.

  4. Click .

    The Add New Database Type window appears.

  5. Update the required parameters, as described in New database type parameters.

    The database is updated with the new parameter definitions.
